LimassolHistorical Centre
The historical centre is the oldest part of Limassol, grouped around the medieval castle and the Old Port on the seafront. The castle took its present form as an Ottoman fort completed around 1590, and tradition places the wedding of Richard the Lionheart and Berengaria of Navarre here in 1191. The castle now houses the Cyprus Medieval Museum, and the Old Carob Mill is next to it. The Grand Mosque (Kebir) and the church of Agia Napa are nearby. Limassol Marina adjoins the Old Port, and the Molos promenade follows the shore to the north-east. It suits buyers who want museums, the marina and the sea within walking distance.

Two minutes' walk to Anexartisias, Limassol's main shopping street

Measured by car, shops, restaurants and the hospital are estimated at about one minute away and the nearest beach at about two minutes. The nearest golf course is around 32 minutes by car. Heart Hotel is 500 metres from the building, a practical place to book rooms for visiting relatives. Both international airports of the island, Larnaca and Paphos, are within an hour's drive, which matters for owners who travel often or let the apartment to guests arriving by air.
Buying an apartment under construction in Cyprus
For a building that is still under construction, payments are normally linked to construction stages. In Cyprus the signed sale contract should be stamped and deposited with the District Land Registry; this registers the buyer's claim on the property.
