Salt: Apartments For Sale in Asomatos, Limassol, Cyprus

Salt is a gated apartment development for sale in Asomatos, a coastal village in the Limassol district that sits on the Akrotiri peninsula, west of Limassol's city centre. The scheme is planned across six residential blocks in total; the release currently being built and marketed spans Blocks C, D and E. Construction is under way, with completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. More than half of the lake bed sits under 30 centimetres of water, which is exactly why it draws so many birds: between November and March, anywhere from roughly 2,000 to 20,000 greater flamingos winter on the lake, alongside cranes, birds of prey and migrating waders moving between Africa and Europe. The lake fills with winter rainfall and is at its most active in December and January, when flamingo numbers usually peak.

Lady’s Mile Beach, an Eight-Kilometre Drive Away

Lady's Mile is a roughly 5-kilometre stretch of coastline running along the eastern edge of the Akrotiri peninsula; part of the beach falls within Asomatos' own community boundary, though the development itself sits roughly 8 km from the water, a short drive by car. The sand along most of the stretch is a dark grey, turning a lighter golden-brown where the water shallows toward the southern end, and the sea stays calm and shallow close to shore. The beach's English name is said to come from the horse ridden along it by a British colonial governor's wife, a detail still repeated in most local accounts of the area. It remains an open, largely undeveloped stretch of coastline, set apart from Limassol's more built-up beaches closer to the city centre.

Under Construction, Outside Limassol’s Tourist Strip

Salt is under construction, with completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. Buyers are choosing from current plans and a build timeline ahead of that handover, with the option to pick a specific block, floor and unit size while the current release is still largely open. The Asomatos setting suits buyers who want a base away from Limassol's dense tourist seafront: the pace here is set by the salt lake and the open coastline nearby, and the city itself, with its marina, restaurants and shops, stays a short drive away for anyone who wants it.
